NOTICE TO BIDDERS
FURNISH AND INSTALL FUEL DISPENSING SYSTEM AT THE
WESTHAMPTON BEACH DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NEWYORK
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Village Clerk, Village of Westhampton Beach, 165 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach, New York, until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 to be opened and read aloud at that time at Village Hall, for furnishing and installing a 5,000 gallon double walled aboveground fuel storage tank cable of holding 4,000 gallons of gasoline and 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel. The fuel dispensing system shall dispense both gasoline and diesel fuel, shall be designed to allow only authorized individuals to obtain fuel and shall maintain complete accurate records of amounts, time and individuals to whom fuel is dispensed. The furnished and installed system shall meet all the requirements of the Underwriters Laboratory, the National Fire Protection Association, Article 12 of the Suffolk County Sanitary Code and be 2 hour fire tested. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining the proper permits for the system he is furnishing and installing from the Suffolk County Department of Health.
Plans and Specifications for the work, FURNISH AND INSTALL FUEL DISPENSING SYSTEM AT THE WESTHAMPTON BEACH DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY will be available on electronic disk at the office of Dunn Engineering Associates, P.C., 66 Main Street, Westhampton Beach, NY, between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, starting Monday, November 17, 2014. A non-refundable fee of $25.00 (check only) payable to the Village of Westhampton Beach will be required of all bidders for a copy of the proposed contract documents. The plans and specifications will only be available in electronic format and disk. No paper copies will be provided.
Non-collusive certifications required by Section 103(d) of the General Municipal Law shall be submitted with each bid. Bid envelopes shall be marked on the outside with the following notation: “FURNISH AND INSTALL FUEL DISPENSING SYSTEM AT THE WESTHAMPTON BEACH DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY “. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Village of Westhampton Beach for not less than 5% of the estimated amount of the bid.
The Board of Trustees of the Village of Westhampton Beach reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted to it. Each bid shall contain the business address to which notice of acceptance may be sent. All bids must be signed in ink.

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF WESTHAMPTON BEACH
FALL LEAF AND BRUSH PICK UP
The Village of Westhampton Beach Department of Public Works will begin the fall brush pick up on Nov. 3rd. Leaves and brush may be put out at curbside in separate piles during the month of November and up until Nov. 30th. DO NOT place your leaves and brush on the road! This is a serious traffic concern. Small branches cannot exceed 3 inches in diameter and 3 feet in length. Yard clearing is not acceptable for pick-up. No grass clippings allowed. Mixed piles will be bypassed.
Biodegradable, paper leaf bags will be available at the Village Office and property owners are urged to utilize this service. Due to environmental regulations at Landfills, these paper bags are preferred over plastic ones. Please refrain from using plastic bags.
Brush and leaves put out after Nov. 30th WILL NOT be picked up; owners/residents will be notified to remove them from Village street right-of-way. Due to other regulations at the various dump sites, the Department of Public Works will not pick up tree stumps, household garbage, household furnishings, rubble or landscaping debris.
